Support the Bike Kitchen UvA
The Bike Kitchen is a do-it-yourself bicycle workshop, where you learn under supervision how to repair your bicycle yourself. In a professionally equipped room with the necessary tools, the Bike Kitchen is a place where you can improve your own repair skills and knowledge!
This do-it-yourself bicycle workshop is part of a global network of self-repair initiatives, inspired by similar projects in the US, France and Germany. Successful Bike Kitchens can also be found in Wageningen, Delft and Rotterdam. By connecting practice, research and education within the University of Amsterdam, the Bike Kitchen UvA acts as a testing ground for exploring sustainable solutions for micromobility. In this way, self-reliance, ownership and circularity are stimulated. Thanks to our founding partners: the Urban Cycling Institute and Kruitbosch!
